Founder and CEO of Djtal
Laurent Cuénoud
A physicist by training, Laurent wrote his Master's thesis at CERN and has spent 30 years in IT. He has guided organisations through three technology waves: the arrival of the internet in business, the turn of the millennium and the digitalisation of business processes. The fourth, AI, is under way, and Djtal was founded for it.
In brief
Who is Laurent Cuénoud?
Laurent Cuénoud is the founder and CEO of Djtal, a Swiss operational AI specialist, a hybrid human-AI company that applies AI to the ERP and CRM systems businesses already run. A physicist who wrote his Master's thesis at CERN, he has 30 years in IT. He led the Switzerland-Tunisia programme, which trained over 350 engineers and supported 80 companies.
Laurent runs Djtal, the hybrid human-AI company that applies artificial intelligence to the ERP and CRM systems Swiss companies already run. Thirty years of projects have taught him that technology is the smaller part of a successful transformation. To technology he adds a systems view built on a physicist's rigour, a practical approach aimed at cutting the cost of IT projects, and a demand that the client's business grow stronger under its own steam.
This view rests on a long career and a network built over three decades. Djtal's engineering hub in Tunisia is built on 30 years of friendship and collaboration between Laurent and Faisal Al Tayyari. Earlier, Laurent led the Switzerland-Tunisia programme (Swiss government and United Nations) for four years. It trained more than 350 engineers and supported 80 companies, and it taught him in practical terms what it takes to turn know-how into a repeatable method.
Today he applies the same method (assessment, priority use cases, actionable plan, delivery) to the fourth wave. Djtal's nine AI agents, which work every day on the company's operations, are its most visible application. The case studies show it at work for other companies.
