Episode 10: What am I still good for?
Twenty agents now handle the admin and supply the expertise. The leader keeps what matters: deciding, and learning all the time.

From seven to twenty agents in a month. And one question crept up on me: what am I still good for?
It’s a fair question. To answer it, I stepped back and asked myself how having these twenty agents around had changed my day-to-day.
One thing I particularly appreciate is being freed from admin. These agents automatically take on a whole range of tasks with simple, well-defined processes. Filing documents. Writing up meeting minutes. Preparing agendas. Entering invoices into the accounts. Answering emails, sending them, keeping my inbox in order and clearing out everything that isn’t needed. A host of small everyday chores, and having them off my plate is, I must say, a huge relief.
The second point is being able to draw on top-level expertise in practically every field. In communications strategy: which channel to use, how generative engine optimisation (GEO) works, what to do to be visible. In company strategy: market trends, what others are doing, how to adapt our business. And on very specialised questions in finance, artificial intelligence, IT, human resources and marketing. More or less everywhere.
The third benefit is that they pushed me to question just about every element that makes up our company: its organisation, its way of working, its processes and how to optimise them, who we choose to bring in, the division of roles and responsibilities. I had dreamed of doing this work for a long time. Once the agents arrived, I had to. And their advice gave me strong backing.
In the end, what is left for me? Orchestrating all this, of course. Above all, though, I’m pushed to my limits on most subjects. AI shakes me up, puts questions to me, asks me to make the call. I have to decide. It’s as if I had an extremely well-qualified team around me at all times, waiting for me to make the right decisions.
Luckily, I love it. Concentrating on the strategic, high-value side of things suits me down to the ground. All the same, the demands are constant, and they call for the highest level of competence. They have pushed me to learn an enormous amount, so that I could answer.
What am I still good for? Deciding. And to pull it off, I have never had so much to learn.
